Dental Veneers
Veneers are very thin pieces of custom-shaped
porcelain or plastic that are glued over the front of your
teeth. Unlike crowns, veneers won't require the dentist to
remove much of the tooth in most cases. Strong and very durable,
veneers last from ten to fifteen years, and come in colors
that will brighten dark teeth without the worry of them changing
color. Veneers also can change the shape and eliminate unwanted
spaces between teeth without the need for braces.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are artificial titanium fixtures
that are placed surgically into the jawbone to substitute
for missing teeth and their roots. They provide distinct advantages
over traditional solutions to missing teeth. While dentures
require constant attention and maintenance, dental implants
bond with your living tissue and support your everyday activities
firmly and safely. And with decades of proven reliability,
dental implants can help you comfortably return to a life
of anxiety-free eating, talking, chewing, and living
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dentistry procedure
that removes stains,
discoloration, and lightens the pigmentation within the teeth.
There are numerous ways to whiten your teeth. For the various
methods please call our office
1-Hour Bleaching
Our new bleaching procedures can be done in
just one appointment. Deep in the tooth, discolorations and
stains can be dramatically lightened or completely removed
in just 1 hour. With this safe procedure, the color of your
teeth can be lifted several shades to give you a beautiful,
white smile. See some examples HERE.
Crowns
Crowns come in three varieties: gold, ceramic.
or metal fused to ceramic. The gold and metal-ceramic varieties
are extremely durable and are primarily used in molars. All
ceramic crowns are used for front teeth since they best resemble
the natural color of teeth.
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is essentially a permanent
false tooth that is fused between two porcelain crowns. The
two crowns hold the dental bridge in place and are attached
to your teeth on each side. Dental bridges are recommended
when we feel that your teeth could potentially drift out of
position due to a missing tooth. Additionally, spaces from
missing teeth can cause you to become far more susceptible
to tooth decay and gum disease.
Dentures
Dentures are removable replacements for missing
teeth typically made out of an acrylic resin that at times
incorporate porcelain or metal for additional structural support.
There are two main types of dentures. Both Complete Dentures
and Partial Dentures are finely crafted, custom-fitted. If
you properly maintain your dentures they will appear natural
and provide a perfect smile. Additionally, dentures help strengthen
muscles controlling your expressions that require the support
of your teeth, rid you of pronunciation problems caused by
missing teeth and aid with chewing.
Extraction
Tooth extraction is the procedure of gently
removing a tooth from its socket in the upper or lower jaw.
Most tooth extraction procedures go very well, take less than
an hour and are done in our office. Our dental practice will
see emergency patients who need a tooth extraction.
Mouth guards
A mouth guard is a flexible appliance made out
of plastic that is worn in athletic and recreational activities
to protect teeth from trauma. A Mouth guard can prevent serious
injuries such as concussions, cerebral hemorrhages, incidents
of unconsciousness, jaw fractures and neck injuries by helping
to avoid situations where the lower jaw gets jammed into the
upper jaw.
Periodontal Scaling
Periodontal Scaling a conservative cleaning
procedure meant to remove contamination and infection from
beneath the gum.
Preventive Care
With proper preventive care, such as regular
check-ups, brushing, flossing, fluoridation, and dental sealants,
the risk of dental disease can greatly be reduced.
Prophylaxis (Cleanings)
Dental Cleanings are often referred to as
prophylaxis. The most important reason for regular dental
cleanings is the
prevention of dental disease.
A dental cleaning includes:
a.. An oral hygiene evaluation
b.. Home care review
c.. Dentist recommendations
d.. Instructions on how to brush and floss correctly
e.. Scaling (the removing of plaque and tartar from visible
tooth
surfaces)
f.. Removal of tartar beneath the gum
g.. Periodontal charting and scheduling of additional appointments
as
necessary
Root Canals
A Root Canal is required when the tiny canals
within your tooth become infected. This can occur due to cavities
or trauma. The root canal procedure consists of cleaning and
filling the canals and then giving the tooth either a filling
or a crown.
Sealants
Dental sealants play an important role in helping
to prevent some forms of tooth decay. The placement of dental
sealants involves your dentist bonding a plastic coating into
the grooves of your tooth. The net result is a smoother tooth
surface, one that is less likely to trap food and plaque,
as well as one that is easier to effectively clean with a
toothbrush.
Tooth Bonding
Bonding is a composite resin filling placed
in the back teeth as well as the front teeth. Composites are
the solution for restoring decayed teeth, making cosmetic
improvements and even changing the color of your teeth or
the reshaping of teeth. Bonding will lighten any stains you
may have, close up minor gaps and can be used to correct crooked
teeth.
Tooth Contouring and Reshaping
Dental reshaping and contouring is a procedure
to correct crooked teeth, chipped teeth, cracked teeth or
even overlapping teeth in just one session. This procedure
is even a substitute for braces under certain circumstances.
This is also a procedure of subtle changes. A few millimeters
of reduction and a few millimeters of tooth-colored can create
a beautiful smile when performed by a cosmetic dentist, with
no discomfort to you. Tooth reshaping, or dental contouring,
is commonly used to alter the length, shape or position of
your teeth.
Ultrasonic Cleaning
The new technology uses a wand that produces
a soft vibration. This vibration that produces the ultra clean
teeth is very low and kept cool by a equally gentle water
spray. The water spray is kept light and is easily controlled
by suction devices.
Wisdom Tooth Extraction
Wisdom tooth extraction surgery involves removing
the gum tissue that presides over the tooth, gently detaching
the connective tissue between the tooth and the bone, removing
the tooth, and suturing the opening in the gum line.
White Fillings
We recommend composite resin dental fillings
as an alternative to traditional metal (amalgam) dental fillings
because of their strength, durability, and because they make
for a very natural looking smile. In addition, most dental
insurance plans cover their use.
